Puppies & Pinot

Sometimes the most unlikely things pair together so perfectly. We wanted to do a photo shoot with puppies, wine and pretty dresses; hence the title of the post "Puppies & Pinot." We have to admit we were pretty nervous to be juggling red wine and jumpy puppies, while trying to keep our white dresses looking, well white. We ended up spending a beautiful evening at Jericho beach exploring right at sunset.

See below for more of our adventure!

Style Stalker has quickly become one of our favourite clothing labels. They have interesting designs that break the basic mould for fashion. We are so infatuated with these gorgeous dresses from High Street Fashion Stores on Granville! While both dresses are white and have a cinched waist, they are completely different.

Chanel is wearing the Piano Flare dress. It is made of a square cutout material with a cinched waist and ruffled bottom. We love that it is not a typical skater dress and has plenty of details. The cut makes it a dress that stands out in a crowd.

Emily is in the Hong Kong dress. The design features a mesh illusion neckline with an interesting lace overlay. It is an extremely feminine style and also has a cinched ruffled waist. Both dresses would make the perfect Diner en Blanc ensemble.

Emily's Tasting Note

Sirens Call 2011 Pinot Noir
13.6%  / $22 a bottle
This Okanagan Pinot Noir is of medium body and full of flavour. It has a silky texture that makes it an easy drinking wine. There is a slight spiciness followed by plenty of cherry aromas. In my opinion it is the perfect summer red!

Shortly after our fun in the park with the puppies we changed into these super soft Wildfox Couture sweaters and drank our wine on the beach. There is nothing better than getting cozy and sharing a bottle of wine with your sister!

A special thank you goes out to our amazingly talented photographer Alexandra, our friend Ghazal at High Street Fashion Store and our other friend Alex for letting us play with his super adorable rescue puppies!
